Nordlie
Shortridge Ltd.
Quality
Since 1976 J.F. Nordlie has built quality pipe organs for America and abroad.

The owners of our work--churches, homes and schools, share a common appreciation of excellence.

Our exacting standard in selecting materials and components is matched by insistence on superb craftsmanship. Thus, Nordlie pipe organs are mechanically sound and musically satisfying.

Today's organists expect great artistry in the pipe organs they play; key and windchest actions must be sensitive and durable. We believe the ideal form is tracker action--direct mechanical linkages between keys and valves controlling the wind. Second, superbly crafted pipework of time-honored materials produce an organ sound both rich and colorful. Third, pipes and mechanisms are housed in handsome casework of meticulous construction and finish.

If you insist on quality, longevity, and reliability in the pipe organ you wish to play, contact the Nordlie organbuilders today. Working with you, the design team at J.F. Nordlie Company will create an instrument tailored to your musical, acoustical and architectural needs. Our modern workshop in Sioux Falls houses materials and machinery for crafting pipe organs of every size. Your inquiries and visits to the shop are always welcome.

A limited budget does not preclude owning a fine organ--quality can be built in any size. Nordlie's smaller pre-engineered organs combine standard design elements with individualized pipe scalings and voicing, thereby maintaining the integrity of the instrument.

Our technicians have expertise in restoration of historic organs and rebuilding of existing instruments; regular repair and tuning services are also available. Traditional and contemporary design, craftsmanship of the first order and discerning musical taste combine to make Nordlie Organs among the best.
